The Malibu Wine Trail Launch Party
Apr 28th
.
The Malibu Wine Trail Launch Party was held at the Church Estate Vineyards.
Looking back, I have two words to describe my experince at this event: fairy tale. From the not too sunny and breezy weather to the individual antique interior decor pieces of the vineyard’s mansion, the event and its venue made me feel like a princess in a fairy tale (No wonder Fergie from the Black eyed peas and actor Josh Duhamel married here!). You don’t believe me? Take a look at these photos:
If that landscape didn’t convince you, here’s the venue’s highlight:
Simply gorgeous isn’t it?
Here are snippets of the Church Estate Vineyard’s mansion’s antique interior decor that made me feel like I was in an upgraded and modernized version of Snow White’s cottage:
My personal favorite decor inside the mansion was this vintage clock/chandelier fixture hanging above a vintage pool table in front of the bar area:
Awesome…much respect to the craftsman
And finally, the vendors in the fairy tale:
(Malibu Grapes, La Zingara California: Balsamic vinegar and Extra virgin olive oil tasting, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, and Duke’s Malibu).
My lovely BD team members who also felt like princesses at the event:
We didn’t meet our Prince Charming at the event…but! we did get to take home a bag full of goodies
The best part about this venue is that it’s only 30 miles away from Los Angeles! Yes, the gorgeous Vineyard and the breathtaking view is all included. If you’re interested in hosting any kind of event here, please contact us. We can’t wait to plan an event here!
The End.

10 Unbelievable Wedding & Marriage Records.
Mar 31st
Here are wow-worthy wedding and marriage records couples have inadvertently set a world record in pursuit of true love:
Greatest age difference in marriage: The Straits Times reported in November 2006 that Sudar Marto of Malaysia, 105, married Ely Maryulianti Rahmat, a 22-year-old maid, in September. That’s an 83-year age difference! At the time, Sudar was still married to his 69-year-old bedridden wife, who welcomed Ely into their union because she appreciated the young girl’s caregiving.
World’s tallest married couple: This ain’t a joke—Keisha Bolton, who is six-feet-five-inches, married Wilco van Kleef, seven feet, after looking for a dance partner in the U.K. Tall Person’s Club. The two are a combined 13.3 feet in height.
World’s shortest married couple: Douglas Maistre Breger da Silva, two-feet-eleven-inches tall, and Claudia Pereira Rocha, three feet, married in 1998.
Biggest wedding cake: If you’re going to have a mega-sized wedding, you might want to consider a cake that is 17 feet high. The Mohegan Sun casino’s monstrous creation weighs 15,032 lbs and can feed 59,000 people. Now that’s a lot of vanilla frosting.
Longest engagement: Octavio Guillen and Adriana Martinez got engaged in 1902, when they were both 15 years old, and married at age 82. That’s a whopping 67 years of procrastination! We’d love more details on the years in between.
Most marriages in a lifetime: Now here’s a story that belongs on a Lifetime TV show. Glynn Wolfe, who also holds the record for the most divorces, married 29 times during his 88 years of life. His shortest union lasted 19 days, and his longest one seven years. The first marriage occurred in 1926, and the last one in 1996, to—get this—Linda Essex, who held the record for female with the most marriages.
Oldest bride and groom: Francoise Frenandez and Madeleine Francineau married in 2002 at an old-folks home in France when the two were 96 and 94, respectively. Love knows no age, indeed.
Most marriage vow renewals: Lauren Lubeck Blair and David E. Hough married each other for the 83rd time in 2004. We wonder how many times they’ve renewed their vows since.
Largest difference in weight: Jon Brower Minnoch, who weighed 1,290 lbs, had two sons with his wife, Jeannette, who weighed 110 lbs. He died in 1983 after five years of marriage.
Most expensive wedding: Vanisha Mittal, daughter of the world’s fifth richest person, married investment banker, Amid Bhatia, in Versailles. The six-day extravaganza, which included a reenactment of the couple’s courtship and a performance by Kylie Minogue, reportedly cost $55 million dollars.

Wolfgang Puck Catering Event @ the Annenberg Community Beach House.
Mar 18th
.
The beautiful sunny weather was perfect for an event at a beach house in Santa Monica. Wolfgang Puck’s catering event was held at the Santa Monica’s Annenberg Community Beach House.
For this particular venue, you literally get what you see. Its floor to ceiling high glass walls hold a vision in itself from the beach’s beautiful bright mornings to the dreamy evening sunsets.
The nature’s natural light illuminates the beach house during the day until the sunset’s golden rays slowly set. Its simple modern design and wide space makes this venue versatile for variety of events.
Throughout Wolfgang’s Catering event, I felt like I’ve become a food critic/food judge in one of the Food Network shows, paying attention to the food’s every detail: presentation, taste, creativity, etc. The only differences were that my opinions about Wolfgang’s catering food was not going to make or break an aspiring cook’s culinary career and my palette may not be as refined as a professional food judges.
Introducing the evening’s food critics: the lovely Katie Lee, Ana Vick, and myself.
And of course, Wolfgang Puck’s catering food:
The desserts:
Amongst the judges, there were a lot of “Hmm~ that’s interesting”, “Mmm, this is good”, and “Wow, never would’ve thought these would go well together” ’s. Every bite was a different and fun experience for the panel. My personal favorites were the ceviche and popcorn concoction and the lavender marshmallows! The strong taste of the ceviche was well balanced by the mild buttery taste of the popcorn and the marshmallows were just delectable–it was very innovative and tasty
After the tastings, we took some photos with dear friends and the team:
And you can’t leave an event without favors!!!
Yummy madeline cookies with its recipe sheet in WP mugs and beach sandals!
It was a fun and memorable Wednesday evening at the beach*

Lighted Wedding Dress.
Mar 7th
Two words: So Cool.
It’s a wedding dress that runs on 4 AAA batteries. This design is Project Runway worthy for the designer’s (Alison Lewis) innovation.
There’s no way you can miss the bride–she’s glowing, literally.
