I wanted to start this post off by showing this video because we don’t know Amy, we don’t know her friends, but we feel SO much love from watching this wedding. I mean, what a cute and unique speech that involved her entire wedding party. You can tell how touched and emotional Amy is, I mean, any bride would feel special at a moment like this!

Personally I think the goal of any toast is to make it a personal one. Recall special moments shared together, the difficult times that you’ve overcome together, and why your relationship with the bride or groom mean so much to you. Of course like the video above, you can add your own twist and stray away from the traditional standing there with a microphone. Consider your words as a gift to the one you’re toasting and make it memorable!

Keep time in mind. The video above was kind of an exception because there was a lot involved and it kept everyone entertained the whole time. Most speeches tend to get a bit boring and redundant. Make sure to keep eye contact with your audience and pay attention to their mood.
