Carondelet House | Downtown Confidential

Last month, I had a chance to mingle and connect with some of the most talented wedding artists in Los Angeles at the Carondelet House. The theme of the night was “Downtown Confidential” and attire was retro chic. Guests sipped on fabulous drinks prepared by Pharmacie LA, enjoyed mini savories from Tres LA Catering and Fantasy Frostings, lounged by the fireplace, danced in the main dining room as bands by Elan Artists performed in different rooms throughout the property.

As you can see, Carondelet House is gorgeous property with an urban flair. This unique venue was built in 1928 complete with original brick walls, hardwood floors, exposed wood beams, vintage-inspired furnishings and two exterior courtyards. It’s perfect for an intimate dinner soiree, wedding or lifestyle event.

Sweet Jordana of Hazelnut Photography wore such a cute outfit. Too bad it’s not shown here. I really liked her vintage Hermes scarf!

Utterly Engaged Leap Year Party at Pandora | Bella Destinee Weddings and Events

Each year Utterly Engaged magazine hosts a design challenge party where teams compete for the best tablescape design. I had the opportunity to attend the Leap Year Remix Party held at Pandora on Green in Pasadena a few weeks ago. The event benefited Shelterbox (an amazing organization that provides survival kits in disaster torn areas), and each team designed tablescapes by blending two cultures from countries that have been touched by Shelterbox. I fell in love with the bright colors and amazing textures used for each table.

My camera pictures don’t do any justice but below is the highlight of the evening. Enjoy~

Oh and let’s not forget this delightful dessert bar created by Pandora pastry chef! Chocolate cake pops, macaroons, red velvet cupcakes, and gourmet truffles kept me very hyper that evening. This picture below will prove just that! ^^

Birthday Bash | London West Hollywood

A 50th birthday party is indeed a significant milestone and I was very excited to plan a surprise shin dig for Dr. Hong’s 50th birthday. Let’s just say he had no idea and was completely shocked! This intimate party was held at the London West Hollywood and we kept it elegant, romantic and meaningful.

His closest friends prepared memorable toasts, his family made a video montage, and our awesome band kept guests entertained all night long.

Dr. Hong’s dream car is the Ferrari Spider so we had to surprise him again with a big Ferrari…cake!

All in all, it was a lot of fun and the surprise part was a huge success.

The look on his face – priceless!

Special thanks goes out to Rebeccah (pictured above) & Sara from the London hotel. Thank you so much for all your help and it was delightful to work with you guys~

Join me this Wednesday, February 29th at 7pm in attendance at Utterly Engaged’s 2012 Leap Year Remix Party! The magazine is kicking off the New Year with a dress-to-impress fête at Pasadena’s premiere venue, Pandora on Green, celebrating the wedding, events & blogging industries. And most exciting of all is the return of the Design Challenge for Wedding Professionals! Guests are allowed one vote for their favorite entry in the Challenge.

Tickets are $30 at the door or $25 pre-sale via Eventbrite with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Shelterbox, a charity providing emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies to those in need. I can’t think of a better way to get inspired for an exciting 2012!
