As seen on Green Wedding Shoes, this “art gallery inspired” styled shoot was so much fun to do!

With the help of some of my favorite vendors, we created an elegant, modern, and yet playful theme.

I was always inspired by so many art pieces around me especially the paintings,

so I started clipping bits of ideas together.

Then I created a story about a girl and boy who fall in love at an art exhibit…

Vince is an art history professor and Olivia is a painter.

Maybe it was destiny’s unmistakable setup that they first met at an art exhibit.

Both inspired by the abstract expressionist painter, Jackson Pollock,

they frequented galleries or museums on weekends for the past two years they dated.

Now for their wedding, they wished to re-create their passionate moments and their undying love for art + painting.

The shoot was inspired by lots of gorgeous watercolors (in the paper details + cake)

and Jackson Pollock (in the backdrop + macaroons).

I have to give thanks to the many incredible vendors that contributed their time and talents to this shoot.

Without them, this project wouldn’t have been possible.

Amazing photographer Scott worked so hard to capture beautiful details,

creative mastermind duo - Christina & Zaid went above and beyond with florals & props,

and Amy from Treespace Studio made it all so perfect with gorgeous stationery – her creative touches blew me away.

SLS hotel provided a perfect backdrop and Designer 8 furniture was so elegant and unique.

Oh and the incredible cake & desserts! Melody from Sweet and Saucy exceeded everyone’s expectation.

Vibiana Downtown Los Angeles Wedding l Tina + Jonathan

A melodious wedding in a timeless venue, Tina and Jonathan were the sweetest couple with unique ideas for their special day. We invested 10 months planning this wedding, all beginning with the couple’s engagement session. The ceremony was held at the Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles. The formal Cathedral of St. Vibiana dates back to 1876. The cathedral is modeled after the Italian Baroque style, that is dramatic yet tasteful. Key elements to this wedding design were pieces of sheet music used in several different ways. The addition of candle light during the reception added warmth to the white floral and the venue itself. One of our favorite elements was designing and styling the dessert table on the vintage piano and vintage furniture. A special thank you to Callaway Gable for the amazing photographs!

Ruffled Vintage Ombré | Inspiration Shoot

This past weekend we brought to life the fresh idea of a Ruffled Vintage Ombré themed event during a photo shoot with the talented Brandon Kidd. The theme was incorporated through the use of vintage-inspired furniture from Found and props including a DIY paper ombré chandelier, umbrellas of variating shades from Bella Umbrella (we love their name!), and a handmade table number from Etsy seller Carolina Joy Design.

We used a deep purple, lavender palette accented with dusty green and ash gray and added a whimsical touch through florals from Dolce Designs, a purple lemonade stand, beautiful cake & cupcakes from My Sweet & Saucy, delicious mini pies from Simple Things Sandwich & Pie Shop, adorable pie pops from Cakewalk Desserts and miniature jars of peanut butter & jelly as guest favors.

On an unusually hot February afternoon in Fullerton, CA, it was as if we had stepped into the middle of an outdoor wedding-picnic, complete with its own crystal chandelier provided by The Event Company! Truly, it was a sight to behold! I can’t wait to see the results of the shoot – check our blog to see the final photos for yourself!
