Zoila + Eric | Westlake Village Inn Wedding
Aug 30th
August 30th, 2009
Zoila & Eric tied the knot at the Westlake Village Inn last weekend.! What a beautiful affair it was! The weather was amazing, the breeze just right, and the day – just fabulous! The bride looked stunning and she reminded me of Eva Longoria on her wedding day.
This setup was beautiful and perfect for the intimate celebration of 90 guests. Minimalist, yet feminine, orange florals surrounded the ceremony site as guests sipped on their pre-ceremony cocktails, flute duet gleefully playing in the background.
And we anxiously await the professional photos from amazing photographer from Natalie and here they are!

April + John | Downtown Cicada Wedding

This wedding was one of the most memorable ones I helped plan and coordinate for the bride and groom. The couple lived in New York so it was a destination wedding for both of them. I actually had to find a different reception venue after they hired me. It was a bit of a challenge with our time frame but I knew that Cicada was a perfect venue when I heard their vision. The inspiration behind this wedding was soft spanish elegance, combined with a variety of cultural elements. The bride wanted to combine the love of her culture and city while making sure that her guests felt a part of the day. We were able to accomplish this by allowing them to have a meet-and-greet right after the ceremony, which took place in front of the church. Then whisked them away into the depths of downtown L.A. where they took pictures along the Walt Disney Hall while enabling them to have their alone time.
The sun light beamed on the two gorgeous pair as they strolled through the streets of downtown, L.A. All the while, the guests arrived to a breathtaking 1920 historic building setting with an adobe nestled in the hills of Los Angeles. Their speeches were heart-felt, their first dance brought tears to all, their party was one of the best receptions I have ever witnessed. The 6-piece mariachi was playing during the cocktail hour, and later there was not one person sitting down as they were all on the dance for dancing the night away. As you will see in the pictures, April & John shared so much love that day that I’m sure each and every guest felt it.
.

Love their facial expression. It says it ALL!
April surprised everyone with a Father-daughter dance. Everyone was off their seats.
Really.

Our personal touch to our table numbers. Each table had pictures of guests with the bride or groom.
A surprise Groom’s cake from April. John is a fireman so of course the fire truck had to be the cake topper.
Our reception program went very smooth and fun filled with laughter. Guests were eager to dance!
.
Congratulations to April & John! Thank you for allowing me to witness this day and being part of something that meant so much for the both of you. Here’s to your zest for life, love, and true happiness.

Whitney + Ken | Skirball Cultural Center Wedding
Aug 15th
August 15th, 2009
Whitney and I had an instant connection with love for art when we first met. The Skirball Cultural Center was a perfect location for their ultra chic and elegant wedding. She even designed all the stationary and their wedding website. 8 months of planning went by so fast and it brought me tears when she finally walked down the aisle. She looked so beautiful just like her bouquet.
I remember her father mentioning to me that all he wanted is for Whitney to be happy. From the look on her face, she was pretty darn happy to marry Ken! This wedding can be described as modern, fun, and a whole lot of purple with platinum gray! I will never deny a purple-gray wedding since it is my favorite color. The day started out at the Luxe hotel in Westwood. Our bella destinee team was on hand to assist with the details and to ensure the day ran smoothly.

They could not stop smiling when they saw each other for the first time.

Bella destinee team welcomed and escorted each guest to the ceremony area… and checked all the details and set up.

Yes, we had a best-woman!

With a perfect music in the background, Elisa (Catering Director @ Skirball) and I were tearing up right at this moment watching Whitney walk down… I can never get tired of this.

A rocking wedding party!

Endless hors d’oeuvres and this photo booth kept guests entertained during the cocktail hour. Our story book…

The modern and elegant table setting: platinum gray, ivory, silver, magenta, purple & eggplant colors.

The lion dance was such a hit!

EVERYONE was on their feet dancing ! A good timeline & reception program is the key!

The late night snack kept the party going… Cool ice cream sandwich made to order.

I will definitely miss this gang!
