Pelican Hill Wedding, Newport Coast | Chris + Vincent
Apr 28th
Chris and Vincent are a match made in heaven. Their wedding was a beautiful representation of the joining of two lives, two cultures, and two hearts. And having selected Pelican Hill as the location for their destination wedding, the celebration of their union was inevitably bound to be top notch and of course, gorgeous! You could tell it was everything they wanted it to be by the giddy grins on both of their faces the whole day. And not just their faces, but their guests’ faces as well. Everyone was so happy to be there to share in the occasion, and it made the day (and evening) all the more enjoyable. I was super excited when I heard Brian Khang was on-board as their photographer. See for yourself the beauty that he captured:

Wholly and completely gorgeous…special thanks to Kelly Zhang for a lovely job…

The view from the Rotunda lawn, where the ceremony took place, is absolutely breathtaking. And to add to the beauty it was a gorgeous day!

The sun came out in full effect in Newport Coast…and the light around Pelican Hill Resort was spectacular…

One thing was for sure, Chris and Vincent knew how to party…and the dancefloor was packed the entire night…

They danced the night away to the live music from Undercover and was sent off with ribbons and bubbles, as they escaped into the night in their Corvette.

Alex Samwan was working with us that day and brought his own camera to capture some special moments from a completely different angle. I was pretty impressed with these images coming from a non-professional. Thanks Alex for sharing these photos with us.
Chris and Vincent, thank you for simply being you. Wonderfully and perfectly you. I couldn’t think of a better way to start Spring than spending the whole day in Newport Coast with you and your amazing friends and family. You’re perfect for each other and I hope you’re enjoying a happly-married-life in New York! Much Love and Appreciation… xoxo, Katie.
A special, special THANK YOU must go to Fran (the Catering Manager) and Michelle (the Wedding Butler) at Pelican Hill for making the day so wonderfully smooth and enjoyable…I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team!

Paper Record Player
Apr 22nd
.
This card, a wedding invitation, packs its own record player. You’ll have to line up the “needle” and spin the record to get it to play. It’s clever! The song is an original made by the couple getting married and the card was made by their great friend.
Learn more about the backstory behind the paper record player at Kelli’s (the couple’s awesome friend) blog.
Reina and Richard’s Wedding Invitation Video
Apr 20th
.
Hello everyone!
One of my darling couples recently shared their invitation with me and I knew I had to share them with you when I saw it!
It’s a video invitation made from their love story and engagement photos providing a wedding information. I was overly excited when they told me they were going to make this eco-friendly invitation and their guests will RSVP via facebook. Pretty interesting, right? Their wedding in July will probably be a blast. It’s going to be filled with so much cuteness that you don’t want to miss! In the meantime, enjoy the paperless, social media friendly invitation.
