Double Tree by Hilton, Downtown Los Angeles Wedding l Yoon + Bryan

They say all you need to put something together is a needle and a thread, that’s exactly how Yoon and Bryan became sewed together as one. The couple married in downtown Los Angeles at the Double Tree by Hilton, downtown Los Angeles. Bella Destinee decorated the event using the needle and thread accents with color accents of creamsicle orange, white, gray and pops of navy. The bouquets included a handful of different flowers with the same color scheme and the addition of pale pink and light yellow roses. The wedding ceremony took place outdoors; each chair had a personal hand fan for guests to use. The invitations and place cards were white with orange chevron stripes to give that modern touch. Our favorite element of Yoon and Bryan’s wedding was the spindles that held the place cards for guests to find their seats. Guests loved the mini thread favors. The reception took place indoors and each centerpiece sat in a tall white vase with orange and white roses cascading over the top. The head table had different types of vases, each vase holding a different type of flower. Yoon and Bryan’s wedding was bright and colorful, just like the couple! Bella Destinee truly enjoyed designing this lovely sewing-themed-wedding. A special thank you to Daniel &  Neoprophoto for sharing these beautiful photos.

The Sea Is Calling | Sailing Themed Inspiration Board

Sail away with me we’ll ride the squalls
Come sail with me, the ocean calls
It’s a rhythmic call for us to sail away
Oh please sail away with me today

Together we’ll face sunsets on the sea
Sunsets made special, you’re with me
The morning sun will refresh our day
And keep all dangers, far, far away…

This sailing inspiration board was designed for one of my clients for their recent seaside wedding. Can’t wait to show how it all came together beautifully in reality!

…Its siren song beckons for me to splash in the surf and dig my toes down deep in the cool soft sand.

The sea is calling me…

Incorporating Mirrors

One of my biggest fashion icons has to be Marie Antoinette. I love everything about the elegance and extravagance Palace of Versailles, especially the famous Hall of Mirrors, so I thought: if Marie Antoinette could have a wall of mirrors in her home, why can’t I use mirrors at weddings?

Mirrors could be integrated as table decor, venue decor, or even gifts. I find that they’re great for enlarging small venues and make an impact when paired with flowers and candles. Have fun with it!

Intercontinental Los Angeles Wedding | Kelly + Alex

Her charm and beauty fills any room she enters and better yet, caught the eyes of Alex. Elegant, smart and graceful are just few of the words that describe Kelly.

They had their first look before the ceremony and it was such a perfect moment to see each other especially on the helipad of the hotel overlooking Los Angeles. I love the magic between her and Alex. He adores her every move and keeps her close…Together, they are the perfect pair.

Thank you Kelly & Alex for having us be a part of your wedding day! We loved every moment of it! Hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images by Kevin Lee.

Carondelet House | Downtown Confidential

Last month, I had a chance to mingle and connect with some of the most talented wedding artists in Los Angeles at the Carondelet House. The theme of the night was “Downtown Confidential” and attire was retro chic. Guests sipped on fabulous drinks prepared by Pharmacie LA, enjoyed mini savories from Tres LA Catering and Fantasy Frostings, lounged by the fireplace, danced in the main dining room as bands by Elan Artists performed in different rooms throughout the property.

If you’re looking for a unique space for any event, please go check out this hidden gem. In the meantime, enjoy beautiful images by Scott Clark.

As you can see, Carondelet House is gorgeous property with an urban flair.  This unique venue was built in 1928 complete with original brick walls, hardwood floors, exposed wood beams, vintage-inspired furnishings and two exterior courtyards. It’s perfect for an intimate dinner soiree, wedding or lifestyle event.

Sweet Jordana of Hazelnut Photography wore such a cute outfit. Too bad it’s not shown here. I really liked her vintage Hermes scarf!
